Looking Back at 2025

There are certain days of the year and specific occasions that naturally draw one to reflect on the past and times to come. New Year’s Eve is one such moment. Yet, promises, resolutions, objectives and targets do not hold much value unless they are matched by accountability. With this in mind, we begin our New Year’s message by revisiting the commitments we made in our 2025 New Year’s greeting.

Stronger Partnership

One of Várri Consultancy’s principal objectives for 2025 was to deepen partnerships. As the year draws to a close, our relationships with collaboration partners and clients have continued to strengthen. Notably, earlier this year, we onboarded our first corporate client onto a whistleblower portal solution, powered by our collaboration partner. This is an excellent example of how technology solutions and advisory services can be combined into a complete solution.

Since its inception, Várri Consultancy has championed initiatives that reinforce the business community and foster knowledge sharing. In this spirit, we renewed our annual event sponsorship agreement with the Swedish Business Council and partnered with the Embassy of Sweden in Abu Dhabi for Sweden Day and Lucia events. Our participation in the Switzerland Global Enterprise Expert Directory also continued, supporting Swiss and Liechtenstein exporters.

Embracing New Technology

Last year, we committed to embracing emerging technologies. In 2025, we invested in internal tools and training, enhancing our service offering and client experience. We also explored and challenged technological changes, sharing insights through our articles.

As large language models (LLMs) have become mainstream among many users and organisations continue to integrate machine learning, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) into their operations, there is a need to balance technology and human intelligence. There is also a risk of companies, particularly in the consulting sector, “AI washing” their product and services. In an attempt to discourage and prevent such AI washing, the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) launched an initiative to classify and verify companies providing AI solutions and award them the Dubai AI Seal.

Delivering Insights That Empower Our Clients

Our third objective was to deliver insights that empower our clients to succeed. Ranking among the top consulting firms in the Middle East for the fourth consecutive year, and placing among the top 10% of over 500 risk and compliance consultancies, affirms that we are on the right path.

Commitment to Sustainability

In 2024, Várri Consultancy joined the UN Global Compact. Continuing our sustainability commitment, we published our 2025 Communication on Progress (COP) as part of the UN Global Compact’s accountability mechanism. Our first COP includes a statement renewing our continued support for the UN Global Compact and a disclosure of our ongoing efforts to integrate the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into our business strategy and operations and to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

2026: The Year of the Family

As the UAE celebrated the Year of Community in 2025, we have seen the power of collaboration and shared purpose. Looking ahead, 2026 has been declared the Year of the Family, reaffirming the importance of strong, cohesive family ties as the foundation of a resilient and prosperous society. At Várri Consultancy, we recognise that unity, empathy, and cooperation—values deeply rooted in Emirati society—begin at home and extend into the business community.

We wish you a Happy New Year 2026!
