Várri Consultancy Publishes 2026 UN Global Compact Communication on Progress

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 31 July 2026 — Várri Consultancy has published its 2026 Communication on Progress (CoP) under the United Nations Global Compact, covering the reporting period from July 2025 to June 2026.

Várri Consultancy joined the UN Global Compact in 2024. Since then, it has continued to develop its approach to responsible business conduct across human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. The 2026 CoP reaffirms Várri Consultancy’s continued support for the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. It also provides an update on the firm’s continuing efforts to integrate these principles into its strategy, governance, policies, and day-to-day operations.

Annual statement on sustainable development and impacts

Sustainable development is relevant to Várri Consultancy because responsible business conduct is part of how advisory work should be governed, delivered, and improved.

As a boutique advisory firm, Várri Consultancy’s most relevant impacts arise through its governance practices, client and supplier relationships, handling of information, ethical business conduct, and the environmental footprint of its operations and value chain. These impacts may affect workers, clients, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders, as well as the environment through resource use, digital working practices, business activities, and indirect value-chain impacts.

The firm’s approach is to manage these topics in a proportionate and evidence-based way, with responsibility assigned at the highest level of the firm and a focus on continuous improvement.

Progress during the reporting period

During the reporting period, Várri Consultancy continued strengthening its governance and ethics framework, including through the adoption and implementation of a Code of Conduct and Ethics covering human rights, labour rights and decent work, environmental responsibility, and anti-corruption.

The Code applies to the firm’s own operations and sets expectations for individuals working for or on behalf of Várri Consultancy. It also includes provisions relevant to suppliers, clients, partners, and other business relationships.

The 2026 CoP identifies non-discrimination and equality, safe and healthy working environment, working hours, and digital security, privacy, and data protection as material human rights and labour rights topics connected with the firm’s operations and value chain. Várri Consultancy also reported on the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence as an emerging topic relevant to its activities and client engagements.

The firm continued its participation in the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles and completed the UN WEPs Gender-Responsive Procurement (GRP) Assessment during the reporting period.

Environmental governance

The 2026 CoP reflects further development of Várri Consultancy’s environmental governance framework.

The firm has adopted an Environmental Policy and continues to develop an environmental management framework informed by the UN Global Compact and the principles and requirements of ISO 14001:2015. The framework addresses resource consumption, waste, pollution prevention, biodiversity, climate-related considerations, and responsible environmental management.

Várri Consultancy identified climate change, energy and resource use, waste management, and circularity as material environmental topics connected with its operations and value chain. As a service-based advisory firm, the environmental impact of Várri Consultancy is primarily indirect and relates to resource consumption, business activities and value-chain impacts.

Anti-corruption and business integrity

Anti-corruption remains a priority area for Várri Consultancy.

The firm maintains an anti-corruption compliance framework proportionate to its size and operating model. Its Code of Conduct and Ethics includes provisions relating to anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, anti-money laundering, sanctions compliance, fraud, tax evasion, and the reporting of concerns.

Várri Consultancy also applies risk-based due diligence to counterparties and business relationships and seeks to promote ethical business conduct through its policies, procedures, contractual arrangements, and business relationships.
